Lincoln's Bio

Born to a successful minority business developer & entrepreneur (father) and education reform bureaucrat (mother), Lincoln Steffens (actually born Lincoln Stephens, named after his paternal grandfather, Abraham Lincoln Stephens) has seen the importance of social change up close and person. The new Lincoln Steffens maintains the same interest in highlighting social & corporate injustice in the same spirit as the father of investigative journalism, early 20th century Muckracker, Lincoln Steffens of the same name.


After having spent half of a decade (long enough for him) in the Advertising industry working on Fortune 100 clients and creating needs products that the consumer (otherwise known as YOU) might actually not need, Lincoln has decided to rededicate his energy towards creating content that highlights culture thru music, food, film and art, as well as civic & spiritual literacy.


Born in Dallas, Texas, he is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia where he received a Bachelor’s in Journalism (Strategic Communication) and is currently enrolled at Full Sail University where he will earn a Master’s Degree in Entertainment Business (anticipated 2010).


Currently a freelance media/marketing consultant, Lincoln most recently served as the Chicago Street Team Leader for Rock The Vote and in the past has been an active leader & servant in a variety of progressive organizations: Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc, African American Leaders of Tomorrow, Dallas Urban League Young Professionals, as well as various student organizations.
