OK, so this is a dream I can't buy. I write poetry, therefore I am a poet, right? If that's the case, then I am a very occasional poet - life and work take up way too much of my time and what I COULD buy is some time and space to concentrate on my poetry. The Arvon Foundation run poetry courses in lovely rural houses in Britain. For £550 I could go away for a week with a group of fellow writers and a couple of professional poets and take some time out to really focus on my poetry. I could write some new stuff, and get feedback and finish some old stuff - and get something ready to send out to magazines and competitions. All that, and get away from the city for a week!
