It's always been a dream of mine to rent a house in some little town or village in France and get to know that one place more deeply, rather than rushing off to see every place in France..I could explore the local food and wine, read books, ride my bike into town( not at the same time--dangerous!) and try to recall my very limited and rusty School French which I somehow fantasize will turn into fluency the minute I land in the land of cheese, baguettes and beautiful people.

My image is of friends and family dropping by for some slow cooking, making delicious meals together with the local ingredients. Those of you who know my cooking prowess will also realize I'm going to need a lot of help to inject the "delicious" into the meal":)

Putting this up on DreamBank is one step closer to me actually doing it and I'm in a Milestone Birthday year( yes, I am finally old enough to drink legally!) so it seems like the time to plan something like this, though it will be next Summer when I go.

Once I actually book the ticket, the rest will happen so I've chosen to save up for my ticket first. I will put 20% of my Dream Funds towards a charity (this Dream's choice tbd) and carbon offsets for the trip( which I'm not convinced is the answer but I think it's a start).
